NewportRIRocks will be a year old in February 2010.
In the last year we have created a website www.NewportRIRocks.com that receives on average 400,000 hits a month; 98% of people book marking 1 or more pages and we are TOP in most search engines <google, Bing, yahoo> for MANY key words relating to Newport RI. The websites content include topics such as nightlife, kids, pets, classifieds etc.
NewportRIRocks is an active member of the Newport County Chamber of Commerce and has participated in many events in the last year including 2009 Newport County Business Expo, 2009 Job Fair held at CCRI where NewportRIRocks was featured on the News as well as the in local paper <Newport This Week> as "..a small success story in an otherwise bleak economy.."
In March of 2009 NewportRIRocks participated in the Annual St.Patricks Day Parade in which the Providence Journal wrote us up on the front page of the Sunday Journal as "having the float that kept the crowd going the most".
Through out the summer we held various events. Our 1st ever Battle of the Bands brought bands from all over the state & FEATURED in The Mercurys Blast Section; and our 2nd brought bands from all over the COUNTRY!
4th of July was our Annual Party Cruise on the Majestic < a 2 floor party yacht >
NewportRIRocks has started 2010 off with a BANG by receiving the MOST SPIRITED MARCHER award in Newports' 54th Annual St.Patricks Day Parade!

NEWPORT — Forget throwing parade-goers the cheap green beads — at this one a clown offered to brush your teeth with an enormous fake toothbrush.
The many bagpipers did their usual thing, but old school hip-hop, blasting from a float sponsored by the advertising and marketing firm NewportRIRocks.com, pumped up the crowd the most. The young, the old and several in between were bobbing their heads when the float passed. more...
